Days Like These
One of the best times of my life so far, was spending a long weekend with my son Jared sailing around on our windsurfers. Time well spent.

- Was born in St. Pete Florida and has lived his entire life in the Tampa Bay area. Trey spent most of his childhood exploring the shores of Old Tampa Bay, Alligator Lake and the it's tributary, Alligator Creek. He started windsurfing back in the "teak" age, when the booms were made of teak the dagger board was made of teak and there was only one size sail. He has competed in a number of races. Today Trey and his wife Carla and their three kids Jared, Jenna and Jace still spend time exploring the shores of Tampa Bay as well as the coast line of Florida.

What a great time you had! I can't wait until my son Gabriel (6) is old enough to go out windsurfing with me. He's interested, but still a little too unfocussed. This summer I'll teach him the kayak, and maybe in a couple of years he'll be ready for a windsurfer.

Ian thanks for the post. Just keep it fun and fresh. Everytime you go out you can tell him all about the things you saw and how much you learned. Tell him how much you want to share the good times with him and how you cant wait for him to feel the joy you feel when the wind freshens and you are skimming across the water.
